Acceptable Use Policy

Unwatched (unwatched.click) turns publicly available YouTube videos into written summaries. This policy explains what the service does, what it deliberately does not do, and how you may use it. It applies together with our Terms of Service.

What the service does

Unwatched reads the caption track that YouTube publishes for a video and sends that text to a large-language model, which writes a structured summary. Where a video has no usable captions, we may machine-transcribe its audio for the sole purpose of producing that summary.

What we do not provide

  • No video or audio downloads. We do not offer, host, store or deliver the media files of YouTube or any other platform, and nothing you buy here gives you access to them.
  • No file sharing. Unwatched is not a cyberlocker, mirror or redistribution service for third-party media.
  • No circumvention of access controls. We do not process private, paid, age-restricted or otherwise protected videos on your behalf, and we do not bypass DRM.

How you may use it

Summaries and transcripts are working material for your own reading, research and note-taking. They are not a substitute for the original work.

  • Use the service only with videos that are publicly available.
  • Respect the rights of the video's author and the terms of the platform hosting it.
  • Do not reconstruct, redistribute or resell a substantial part of a third-party work using our transcripts or summaries.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Unwatched to:

  • process content that is illegal or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • generate sexual, explicit, hateful, harassing or violent material, or any material involving minors;
  • produce deepfakes, face swaps or any other material that impersonates a real person;
  • create spam, malware, disinformation or automatically mass-published content;
  • resell the raw output as your own product, or resell access to the service;
  • abuse the API, bypass credit limits or interfere with the operation of the service.

AI-generated output

Summaries are produced by AI and may contain errors, omissions or misinterpretations. They are not a substitute for watching the original video and are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Requests and generated text are subject to the safety filters of the model providers we use, and we may block any request we believe violates this policy.

Third-party AI models

Unwatched is an independent product. It is built on top of third-party large-language models — including those operated by Google, Anthropic, DeepSeek, OpenAI and OpenRouter — and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Unwatched is likewise not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Enforcement

We may refuse, throttle or block any request, and suspend or terminate an account, where we believe this policy is being violated. Credits in a terminated account are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

Reporting abuse

If you believe content generated through Unwatched infringes your rights or violates this policy, write to support@unwatched.click. We reply within three business days.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above always shows the current version.
