How it works

Unwatched.click downloads the video's subtitle track directly from YouTube — no video download, no re-encoding. The transcript is cleaned, then sent to an AI that writes a structured article with headings and key takeaways.

If the video has no subtitles, AI audio transcription (via Gemini) is used as a fallback — so it works on most public videos.

Choose a length: Brief (one concise paragraph per section), Medium (the default — balanced detail), or Full (in-depth coverage of every point). Switch between Fast mode (sub-30-second response) and Quality mode (the best model for nuance and structure).

Need a different language? Enable the translation toggle and pick any of 14 supported output languages. The transcript is always included alongside the article — scroll or jump to any moment in the video.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without subtitles?

Yes. If YouTube subtitles are unavailable, the tool falls back to AI audio transcription. It works on most public videos.

What video types work best?

Talks, lectures, podcasts, interviews, tutorials — anything with clear speech. Music videos or videos without narration produce limited results.

Is it free?

Article summaries are free for everyone. Deep Analysis, Slides, and Presentation modes require a free account.
